Silk workshops

One of the aims of the Virtual Silk Highway project is to strengthen the knowledge infrastructure of the NRENs in the Silk countries. One of the ways of doing this is by organising workshops for NREN staff. Most of the workshops are conducted in the Russian language.

1. First Silk Technical Workshop, Tashkent, October 13-17 2003.

A NATO funded workshop bringing the Silk technical staff together for instruction in the use of the Silk NOC equipment. The workshop is organised by the Uzbek NREN UzSciNet.

2. Computer Security Workshop, Yerevan, June 21-24 2004.

On June 21-24, 2004 in the framework of the NATO Virtual Silk Highway Project a Computer Security Workshop has taken place in Yerevan, Armenia. The workshop was organized by Armenian Research Educational Networking Association (ARENA) Foundation and ARMENIA COMPUTER EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (AmCERT). The workshop is funded by ISOC.
